“Component” is not a dirty word — my RubyConf presentation

It was a fantastic privilege to address RubyConf 2008 with Nick Sutterer at my side. You can catch the video on Confreaks, where all of the great videos from that conference are.

With the inclusion of Engines into edge Rails for the forthcoming Rails 2.3 release, and in light of some very encouraging conversations we have been having with DHH himself, component-oriented Rails development, I am excited to say, is happening. We could have hoped for no better outcome!

Also, I see that my lovingly crafted Delicious links are no longer showing up here — again. Sorry about that. Stay tuned to this blog, though, please — the fun is just starting.
